Wild Turkey American Honey (bourbon ball stuffed) Cupcakes

American Honey Yellow Cake– makes 24 cupcakes
1 cup unsalted butter, room temp
1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups sifted cake flour
2 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup Wild Turkey American Honey Bourbon
  1. Cream butter & sugar until fluffy
  2. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then vanilla
  3. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together
  4. Combine milk and bourbon
  5. Alternate adding flour mixture and bourbon mixture to the butter/sugar, starting and ending with flour, beat on med/low until JUST incorporated
  6. Pour into lined cupcake tins, and bake at 350 degrees F for approx 13-15 minutes
If “stuffing” with bourbon balls: (RECIPE HERE)
  • Allow cupcakes to cool completely
  • Using a paring knife core the cupcakes then stuff a bourbon ball into the middle
  • Frost, and store in the fridge!
 
 
Wild Turkey American Honey Frosting
2 teaspoons milk
2 tablespoons AND 1 teaspoon Wild Turkey American Honey Bourbon
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup unsalted butter, softened (almost melted)
2 cups powdered sugar
  1. Combine milk, bourbon, and vanilla
  2. Cream butter, then add half the powdered sugar, beat until combined
  3. Add half of the bourbon mixture, beat until combined
  4. Add remaining powdered sugar, beat
  5. Add remaining bourbon mixture, beat until smooth
