Amaretto Fudge w/ Frosting

makes 48 pieces
SLIGHTLY adapted from Crazy For Crust
Fudge Layer
1 cup milk chocolate chips
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons amaretto
½ cup sliced almonds
1. Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper, lightly grease
2. In a medium sauce pan combine chocolate chips and condensed milk, place over LOW heat, stir occasionally
3. When chocolate is mostly melted, stir in vanilla and amaretto, finish melting chocolate
4. spread QUICKLY into the prepped pan, sprinkle almonds onto top
5. allow to set at room temperature until cool,
6. spread the frosting (recipe below) on top, sprinkle with mini chocolate chips and more almonds
7. chill in fridge until hardened, cut into 48 pieces
Frosting Layer
3-4 cups powdered sugar
4-6 tablespoons Amaretto
2 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
+/- sliced almonds
+/- mini chocolate chips
1. beat 3 cups powder sugar, 4 tablespoons amaretto, butter, and the vanilla until combined
2. add remaining powdered sugar & amaretto until frosting has reached desired consistency/ flavor
