Bourbon Maple Cupcakes with Whipped Burbon Maple Chocolate Ganache Frosting

Bourbon Maple Cupcakes– makes 24
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup Wild Turkey American Honey Bourbon
3 egg whites
1 whole egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoons salt
½ cup maple syrup (100% pure)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together
  3. Combine maple syrup & bourbon
  4. Cream butter, gradually add brown & white sugar
  5. Add egg whites and eggs, beat until combined
  6. Alternate adding flour mixture & bourbon mixture to butter/egg/ sugar mixture, starting and ending with flour
  7. Beat for approx. 2 minutes, or until smooth
  8. Bake for approx. 20 minutes in line cupcake tins, or until tooth pick inserted in the middle comes out clean
Whipped Bourbon Maple Chocolate Ganache
8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
¼ cup heavy cream
¼ cup & 2 tablespoons Wild Turkey American Honey bourbon
3 tablespoons maple syrup (100% pure)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  1. Simmer heavy cream & butter, until butter is melted
  2. Pour over chopped chocolate, stir until chocolate is melted and smooth
  3. Add bourbon & maple syrup stir until well combined and smooth
  4. Cool completely
  5. Whip on medium speed until color lightens, and ganache becomes slightly fluffy
