Candy Bar Red Velvet Cookies

chewy red velvet cookies with chunks of kit-kats, snickers, and butterfingers.
makes approx. 5 doz
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2/3 cup cocoa powder
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 teaspoons red food coloring
6 “snack size” Snickers, chopped & cold
6 “snack size” Butterfingers, chopped & cold
6 “snack size” Kit Kats, chopped & cold
¾ cup chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, line cookie sheets with parchment paper
2. Whisk flour, baking soda, salt & cocoa powder together
3. Cream butter & sugars together until light & fluffy, approx. 2 minutes
4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating between each addition, then
5. add vanilla & red food color, beat until smooth
6. Gradually stir flour mixture into the creamed mixture until combined
7. Fold in candy bar chunks & chocolate chips
8. Using a 1 ½ inch cookie scoop roll into balls & bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cracks form in the tops
9. Cool for 5 minutes on the cookie sheet, then transfer to wire racks to finish
