Chinese (Take-Out Style) Beef & Broccoli

1 lb beef round roast, sliced thin
1 cup beef broth
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup light brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
7 ½ ounces broccoli florets
1. In a skillet brown the beef, then remove from skillet
2. Combine broth, soy sauce, light brown sugar, sesame oil, and garlic, then pour into the skillet
3. On med-high heat bring mixture to a boil, then whisk in cornstarch
4. Reduce heat to med, add broccoli and beef to the sauce and cook until the broccoli is desired tenderness (about 5 minutes)
Makes approx. 22 ounces w/ 1320 calories total
